Acoura to rebrand fully to Lloyd’s Register

2 April, 2018

Assuring a better future for our clients

LR understands that our clients’ needs are changing - along with the world of assurance - and that trust is a vital aspect of any partnership.

In a world of increasing complexity - overloaded with data and opinion - we know that our clients need a broad range of specialist services to succeed.  They need an experienced hand. A partner to listen, cut through the noise and focus on what really matters to them and their customers. Our technical experts are dedicated to assurance. That means a commitment to embracing new technology and a deep rooted desire to drive better performance.

To underpin this commitment, we have decided to retire the Acoura brand and trade under the LR brand, which is set for completion this summer.  The single LR brand links together all members of the LR group under one single identity, providing our customers with a broader service portfolio and a much wider range of food sector solutions from a single provider.

You will initially notice a new look and feel to the way in which we present ourselves to you.  Over the course of 2018, we will be rebranding all of our content, ranging from our website and social media channels through to email addresses, certificates, invoices and contracts.

Commenting on the rebrand, Paul Butcher, Lloyd’s Register Managing Director - Management Systems and Inspection Services said, “Integrating Acoura into the Lloyd’s Register group will enable us to support our customers both today and in the future. As part of LR we can give you more of what you need in terms of a wider service portfolio which is supported by a global team of specialists.”

This move will be handled in the most pragmatic way possible as Tim Bailey, who heads up the Acoura team, explained.  “Rest assured, all existing certificates and contracts will continue to be valid and recognised for use going forward and clients will be issued with their new-look certificate and contract at the point of renewal. This means that no action is required from our clients and importantly, no disruption.

Note that all telephone numbers and primary points of contact will remain in place to include email addresses, which will be supported with redirects as we move from to over the coming months.

If you would like any further information about our expanding service offering or our new look and feel, please contact us at  and we thank you for your on-going custom.
