Membership details for the BDFPA Assurance Scheme.
The BDFPA Deer Park Assurance Scheme is designed by experts in deer management to cover Deer Park Production standards including food safety, hygiene, animal welfare and management of the environment.
Being an approved member of the BDFPA Deer Park Assurance scheme gives your customers the reassurance that your venison is produced to an industry recognised Code of Best Practice and your herds and facilities are regularly inspected and certified by Acoura Certification Ltd, an independent professional body.
Membership of the BDFPA Deer Park Quality Assurance Scheme:
- Keeps you up to date with the latest regulatory requirements.
- Ensures that you are following current Best Practice with your herds and larders
- Demonstrates to your customers that you are producing a quality product produced to a recognised standard
Application to the Deer Park Assurance scheme requires you to complete and return an application form with payment to the BDFPA.
You will then be sent a copy of the Deer Park Assurance Standards and a Self Assessment check list.
You should submit the documents and records detailed on the Self Assessment checklist to Acoura, who will review them, and when satisfied they comply with the requirements of the standards issue you a Certificate of Conformity and notify the BDFPA.
