Membership Details for the Carbon Foot-printing Scheme
Acoura conducts carbon foot-printing assessments on farms in England and Scotland for E-CO2.
Each assessment involves half a day of work collecting information on everything from energy and water utilisation, to nitrate vulnerable areas and carbon footprint data. This information is then used to calculate your farm’s carbon footprint per unit of output.
Choosing Acoura for your Carbon Foot-printing assessment can offer you a number of benefits.
Benefits can include:
- Potential financial savings.
- Increased energy efficiency.
- Year-round access to Acoura’s team of technical experts.
- Can often be combined with Farm Assurance audits
Once the inspection is complete, E-CO2 can then highlight areas for improvement which can lead to a number of tangible benefits for both the environment and your farm itself. Further to this, the Carbon Foot-printing Scheme meets the requirements of PAS 2050. PAS 2050 provides a method for assessing the GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions arising from products across their life cycle, from initial sourcing of raw materials through manufacture, transport, use and ultimately recycling or waste. By measuring carbon per unit of output, we can provide clients with accurate and meaningful results.
